Reliability
The English
Clockmakers Motorwind system is simple in operation and therefore
highly reliable. The weights are wound on the Huygens system, and
robust switches are used to operate the winding
motors.
Conservation The existing movement is not altered but the original heavy
weights, cables and pulleys are replaced by lighter weights
connected to the winding units.
Flexibility
In most cases chains and
sprockets are used to support the weights. For smaller clocks
however when space is limited, the weights can be supported by
flexible drive belts allowing the winding units to be located in
front of the movement if necessary. |

Safety
The weights are
wound by low voltage motors powered by a battery with sufficient
reserve to keep the clock going for several days in the event of
mains failure.
Nationwide Service The motorwind system has been fitted to clocks on
churches, schools and public buildings throughout the Country from
North Derbyshire and Cheshire to Sussex and
Devon.
English
Clockmakers are the first
choice when important clock movements and dials require sympathetic
restoration. They are equipped with the latest type of rope tackle
for safe access to dials and hands.
Free surveys are made prior to sending detailed reports and
